GDPR / Privacy Notice
I am committed to protecting your privacy and any personal data which you share with me. Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which came into force on 25th May 2018, I will regularly review the information which I hold. I will require your consent for such purposes.
Your data will not be shared with anyone. I will keep brief notes from sessions with a unique client reference number, not a name. Client records will be kept in a locked cabinet, and no-one will be identifiable from notes alone.
In line with the BACP requirements, notes will be kept for 3 years.
In order to work with you, I will need your name, address and contact details including contact numbers and email addresses. If you require counselling, I will also require your GP details. Supervisees will be required to provide details of the organisations which they provide counselling for, and/or tutor and course details if they are in training.
For services provided remotely, client information will be stored and disposed of, as outlined by GDPR standards.
